About

I’m a Postdoc in the Material Robotics Laboratory at Boston University with Dr. Sheila Russo. I completed my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Houston, under the supervision of Dr. Aaron Becker, and earned my M.S. in Electrical Engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, advised by Dr. Cong Wang.

My research focuses on developing intelligent surgical robotic systems that integrate perception, planning, and control to operate effectively in complex, uncertain, and dynamic clinical environments. I am particularly interested in designing novel soft, miniaturized surgical robots, creating algorithms that enable robots to learn from real-time sensory inputs, adapt to patient-specific anatomical and physiological variations, and execute precise, safe, and reliable motions during minimally invasive procedures. Through a combination of robot design and fabrication, system-level integration, motion planning, and control, I aim to advance surgical robotics toward greater accessibility, consistency, and efficacy in diagnosis and intervention.
